Animal Chiropractic

Chiropractic care can play a very important role in your pet’s life. It can improve motion and alignment as your pet grows and improve overall health and conformation. In your pet athletes it can improve performance and reduce chances of injury. In your aging pets chiropractic can improve their quality of life and decrease their pain. In my experience, animals respond much faster than humans with the adjustment and healing process. Their heads don’t get in the way as with humans. If you are skeptical of the healing benefits of chiropractic, watch an animal being adjusted. It is amazing to see their immediate responses.
Animals, just the same as humans can suffer from back and neck pain, disc herniations, shoulder and hip dysfunction and even jaw pain. They normally don’t complain when they hurt because of their instincts. In the wild, an animal that is injured or show signs of weakness is vulnerable to attack. They suppress many of the more obvious signs of pain and injury to protect themselves and their social standing in the pack or herd. Therefore it is often difficult for humans to recognize when your pets are hurting. This is why preventative and wellness care are so important for your pets quality of life.
The most common presentation across all species is change in behavior! This includes a change in normal routine and/or change in athletic ability/willingness. It is important to note that pain is often associated with these changes but pain is not a requirement for when a chiropractic adjustment may be warranted.
